If you follow my blog at all you can probably tell what time of year it is. It is senior season! Yup- lots of seniors, or soon to be seniors, have been on the blog lately. And, today is not different. I have another rising senior to introduce you to today. This is Dani, one of my gorgeous Havelock High School Senior Spokesmodels. She is best friends with Chelsea, who was featured on the blog yesterday. I think this is a gorgeous close up of Dani.

Dani is also a varsity cheerleader and a member of an All Star Cheer team. In fact, both she and Chelsea are getting ready to go to Florida for a huge cheer competition.( Good luck girls!) And this next image is a great example to show how editing and toning a photo can give it a whole new look and feel. That image above was processed in a very straight forward way. With her serious look, I wanted to keep it serious looking. For this image below, it seemed more fun and playful. I wanted to highlight Dani and add some light. So, after some basic processing I used a texture, from one of my favorite texture creators , on top of the image to warm it up and draw your focus to Dani. Can you see the difference in the two images? Both are beautiful, but they each have their own feel to them.

Dani, like Chelsea, keeps a crazy schedule, with trips back and forth to Raleigh for cheer practice in between all the normal stuff of being a teenager. She and Chelsea both seriously impressed me with how they do it all. And I’ll say it again, their parents are amazing to be able to guide their girls and help them pursue their dreams. Both Dani and Chelsea are aiming to cheer at the college level and with the determination and dedication that they demonstrate, I don’t doubt at all that they will!

If you are a new visitor to my blog then you may not know that I am a sucker for a close up. If you were to come into my home you would see a whole hallway filled with large canvas close ups of my own kids. There is just something about capturing a person’s eyes, looking straight into the camera, that I love. This close up of Dani is another of my favorites. I had a hard time picking whether I liked it in black and white or in color better, so I am going to let you help me decide. Here are both versions. What do you think?

And finally, one more just for fun! Seems I love this image too![]()

Thanks Dani for letting me capture some images for you. I had a great time getting to know you more. And, if you’ve made it all the way to the end of this post will you do us a favor? Please leave a comment down there in the comment section letting us know if you are a fan of the black and white close up or the color one. Pretty soon Dani will have to pick some of her favorites. Give her a little help and send her your pick!
