Twins are so fascinating to me. I mean really, two little babies at one time! Whoa! Yes, I have four kids. But, they were not all newborns at the same time. I can’t imagine having two little ones the exact same age. Not only am I fascinated from a parent perspective but I am also intrigued by how their little personalities can be so different. I taught my fair share of twins when I was teaching. I learned that even though they might look alike or at least similar, their personalities were all their own.
So, let’s see what I learned about these two, sweet twin girls. This little missy was our test model. I found these cool cloth bins that I wanted to use since the girls aren’t quite sitting on their own yet. Only problem? I don’t have a six month old to test them out on. We started by figuring out if they would be propped up enough and supported. And me, being the one with a camera always in hand, had to snap a few test shots of the little missy. This was toward the beginning of our session and I think she was still trying to figure me out at this point. I just love her eyes and that mouth is the cutest little thing!
Once we were certain she was all comfy we backed up and started shooting. And look what little miss did- she stuck her tongue out at me!! I learned right here that this young lady would show me a thing or two!
Oh, and before I forget to mention it- it must have been about 100 degrees when we took these. I just want to make sure you are properly impressed with the fact that these two girls were troopers. There weren’t screaming fits or tantrums. These two were laid back and let us snap away. So, you want to see baby number two? Are you ready? She is another cutie too!
Now how sweet is she? She was quite content to hang out while we snapped some shots of her sissy. When it was her turn she knew exactly what to do- look right in the camera! I love it!
Mom and Dad wanted some pictures of the girls together to so let’s take a look at one of those.
Does it get any cuter than that??? Oh my I think these two may just be the cutest little twins I have ever seen!
But wait! I think this shot may be even cuter. I could just eat this one up. I love how the little one is leaning over on her sissy. I have sisters too and this image just makes me think of the way I feel about them. I know they are always there to prop me up if I need it. I wish I had a baby picture of me with my sisters that showed this kind of feeling.
And last but not least. I am a middle child. You know- not the first and not the last. In other words, I’m the kid who has to really hunt for baby pictures of myself since my parents were busy with my older sister and then the little one came along. Somehow the number of baby pictures of me is dramatically different from my two sisters. And even though these two sweet girls share the same birthday I don’t want either of them to suffer from my predicament. I have to be fair and even here. I have to make sure each girl has the same number of images posted on the blog. Call me crazy but I have to be fair!
Here is one last, just for fun shot of one of these beauties doing her best imitation of a flower!
So what else did I learn about these two? Well, they are just about the cutest things I have seen. They have great personalities and mom and dad are like seasoned pros with them. I really hand it to parents of twins. I just can’t imagine. Kudos to you both! You have a lovely family and I do thank you for letting me capture some pictures for you.
I will be working on your entire gallery but in the mean time let’s put you to work as well! Shoot your friends and family a message or a post on your Facebook wall asking them to come and leave your girls some “blog love” in the form of a comment. If you can round up 25 people to leave a comment on here you will have just earned yourself a nice little photographic surprise on me! And since another client’s friend came up with the idea- if you get double that in comments you get double the prize. Which would be good since you do have twins! So, off you go. Get to work and I’ll get to work on your gallery!
